Terms & Conditions

Welcome to MapDataHub. By accessing or using the MapDataHub web service ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before using our services.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account and using MapDataHub, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and any applicable subscription terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use MapDataHub. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent.

3. Account Registration

• You must provide a valid email address to create an account
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
• You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account

4. Service Description

MapDataHub is a web-based geospatial data platform that lets you upload geospatial files in many formats (such as CSV, GeoJSON, KML/KMZ, Shapefile, GeoTIFF, GPX, WKT/WKB, GML, and more), turn them into interactive maps, style and share them, and manage storage based on your plan. MapDataHub is a web application accessed through your browser.

5. Acceptable Use of Uploaded Data

You are responsible for the geospatial files and datasets you upload. By uploading data, you represent and warrant that:

• You own the data or otherwise have all rights and permissions necessary to upload, process, and share it
• Your data does not infringe the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of any third party
• Your data does not violate any applicable law or regulation
• You will not upload malicious, unlawful, or harmful content through the Service

You also agree not to attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or our systems, reverse engineer the Service, use automated tools to scrape data from the Service, share your account credentials with unauthorized persons, or interfere with or disrupt the Service.

6. Subscription Plans & Billing

• Free Plan: Available at no cost with limited features and storage as described on our Pricing page
• Paid Plans: Paid plans offer additional features and storage and are billed through our third-party payment processor
• Auto-renewal: Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period unless canceled
• Cancellation: You may cancel at any time; you will retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing period, after which your account will revert to the Free plan
• Price Changes: We may adjust pricing with 30 days' advance notice

7. Ownership of Your Data

• You retain full ownership of all geospatial files and datasets you upload to the Service
• You grant us a limited license to store, process, and render your data solely to provide the Service to you
• You may export your data and maps from your account settings at any time
• You may request deletion of your account and all associated data via our Account Deletion page
• We process your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy

8. Intellectual Property

MapDataHub, including its design, logos, icons, graphics, and software, is the property of Alpha Code Agency and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission. This does not affect your ownership of the data you upload.

9. Service Availability & Disclaimer of Warranties

MapDataHub is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that:

• The Service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or secure
• The results obtained from using the Service will be accurate or reliable
• The Service will meet your specific mapping or geospatial needs

You are responsible for maintaining your own copies of important data. We recommend exporting your data regularly.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Alpha Code Agency shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of MapDataHub, including but not limited to data loss or decisions made based on maps or information produced through the Service.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Alpha Code Agency, its employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, the data you upload, or your violation of these Terms.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or use the Service in a way that harms other users or the platform. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends, and your data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

13. Service Modifications

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with reasonable notice for material changes. We are not liable for any modification or discontinuation of the Service.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or an in-app notification at least 14 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the applicable jurisdiction.
